Branson's fully-equipped
applications
laboratories at our headquarters in Danbury, as well
as in our Regional Technical Centers,
are ready to
answer your questions or assist you with your application.
We have
expertise in performing feasibility studies, as well as give advice
on materials,
part and joint design, and equipment.
If you would like a free
feasibility study of your application, please download the appropriate
form, complete
it, and fax it to the lab in Danbury, CT, at 203-796-0363, or to the
regional technical
center for your location.
Today, instead
of sending parts, prints, or
faxes, most application information is
transmitted to Branson project
engineers by electronic means. Many
methods are available to move
this data, including email, CD, FTP
sites, etc. Many design software
packages have been created for universal
use, and some are customized with
various file formats. However, in
many cases there are nuances that prevent one
software program from
“talking” with another program, resulting in a great
deal of confusion
in dealing with electronic files. Branson has a wide
variety of CAD
programs and translators, making it possible to open up most files
that are
received. The first step is understanding which software
packages we
have and what file types we read. Branson has the following
software CAD
packages on site:
CADRA
SolidWorks
SolidView Pro
Pro-E
AutoCad
Translators for native Catia files.

for a copy of our TechnoLog TL-15, Formats for CAD Data Transmission,
that describes
how to send files to Branson.
For those who benefit from hands-on, one-on-one
instruction, Branson offers technical seminars at our regional
facilities or they can be customized for you facility.
