A New Platform for Automation
Rotary systems provide simple automation for increased production and
efficiency. Branson Ultrasonics Corporation's Series 40 Welding System
is a self-contained semiautomatic ultrasonic plastics assembly platform
with the emphasis on configurablity as well as increased production
rates.
It is capable of welding, staking, inserting, swaging, or spot welding
thermoplastics. Automatic cycling and air eject keep the operator's
hands free for loading. With only a few minutes of training, an
operator can turn out high-integrity, high-volume thermoplastic
assemblies.
The Series 40 system can include multiple ultrasonic stations or can
combine ultrasonic systems with other types of welders, such as spin
welders, or with other secondary operations such as leak testing.
Several options are available including pick and place components, and
parts blow-off.
Benefits/key points
28" rotary dial - up to 34", available with 4, 6. 8, 12 or 24 stops
Part removal - automatic blow-off
Part load - pick and place on show unit
Allen Bradley PLC
Touch screen operator interface
Compatible with any welding unit
Can include multiple welders: combinations of ultrasonic and spin,
or incorporate other stations such as leak tester, stamping, etc.
Branson Ultrasonics Corporation's Series 30 Rotary Welding System is a
durable, bench-mounted rotary system incorporating a Branson ultrasonic
welder, a CamcoŽ precision indexer that can accommodate up to 12
fixtures, controls, and operator station in a self-contained unit.
It provides the basic elements of a semiautomatic ultrasonic plastics
assembly system with the emphasis on economy and efficiency as well as
increased production rates.
For over 30 years, Branson has built ultrasonic systems for use in the
automotive industry. They run the gamut from simple, manual-load
systems to fully-automated systems. Whatever your specifications, we
can build a custom turnkey piece of equipment that will last for many
years of production.
Examples of systems we have built include:
Single or multi-head "load under the horn" machines
Single or multi-head slide tables (manual or power)
Standard single head, CamcoŽ indexer rotary tables auto unload
Multi-headed rotary systems
Sequenced power supplies systems available upon request
The photo above shows a two-position slide system, complete with sound
enclosure to attenuate noise to 85dB. The sound enclosure also acts as
a guard to keep the operator and others out of the machine during
cycling.
